Kick! Making Politics Fun

As of September 21, 2012 Bill Maher videos will be presented in HTML5. This should not affect those using laptops or desktops but will allow tablets and smartphones to play them. 

Every morning at about 8am CST  Kick! puts up 6 or more politically charged videos (or articles) one of which is sure to give you a chuckle at breakfast. For Republicans and Libertarians? Not so much.

Kick!  began as a hard copy newsletter in 1993 under the name The Journal of Hard Response. In 1996 it moved online with a website called Conservatively Incorrect. In  2006 it moved to blog software under the name Kick! Making Politics Fun.

Guest Comments: Fill in the name and email fields to make a comment. After your first message passes moderation (which is only to defeat spam), subsequent comments will be published automatically in real time. Though you will have to do a small CAPTCHA.

Registered Comments: If you register, Email address will be verified by email, a the CAPTCHA code bypassed.

Advertising: Not much we can do about the embedded ads inside the videos. Though viewing them here rather than at their home sites does help bypass those big bad pop-up videos and animations.

We see a lot of video ads in this process.  Understand that advertising makes the Internet viable, just as it is with radio and TV. We work with only 3 Adsense blocks which pays for the cost of running this thing and a little left over to buy ammo for Bubba. So clicking on them is like making a little contribution.

Video ads should be 15 seconds, or have a SKIP BUTTON after 15 seconds if it’s 30 seconds. If not leave feedback to let them know it is over the top.  If you find a site with those mouseover “colored word” popups leave feedback to let them know it too is way over the top.
