Bill Cosby Mistrial Expected, Jim Jeffries Charts the Celebrity Fame to Blame Ratio

Bill Cosby escapes prosecution in his sexual assault trial, despite decades of serial ‘dating’ which certainly resembles rape and assault that would put a less-beloved celebrity behind bars. Comedian Jim Jeffries is prompted to examine how fame often insulates celebrities from accountability…And it’s true, there’s a chart and everything!

As you can clearly see, if Tom Hanks went on a bloody murder spree, People magazine would announce that he’s stressed out and needs our support. Hanks is indelibly linked with Forest Gump and Captain Sully – for crying out loud!  If you doubt the theory, think about Cosby – er, Doctor Huxtable, who made America laugh for decades. He is a free sexual predator who greeted crowds with a mocking “Hey! Hey! Hey!” Compare Cosby’s crime with that of Martha Stewart – who arguably was just too damn perfect for mercy.

There are a few celebrities who are the exception to the rule, and one of life’s great mysteries is – why isn’t Ted Nugent behind bars?!!  Nugent’s background is well-documented on this site, he is as loathsome and unlikable as he is talent-impaired. Inviting the President to suck on his machine gun wasn’t enough to put Nugent solidly in the jail-bound group, nor inexplicably, were his dalliances with under-age girls.  Courtney Love -Washington’s other mad cow, testifies that she had sex with Nugent when she was but twelve and her nascent fame-hunting instincts were undeveloped.
