"Hipsters Love Coffee" is Hilarious, Caffeine Fueled Truthiness

Brilliant sketch writers and actors ‘Nacho Punch’ are of an age range which gives them cultural insight into the  phenomenon of all things Hipster. I’ve yet to see anyone do it with more hilarious and accurate insight, and while the characters may seem over-the -top…They’re only standing one rung away from that shaky top step.
This time, the group focuses their ‘insider’ look at  hipster, on coffee. Er…I mean the coffee culture, for coffee is far from a mere beverage in hipster circles. A rich tapestry of pretension and obsession revolve around the sacrament of The Bean.

It is vital to get the most flavor from the gleaming, steaming barrage of equipment in which the brew is made.  A Rube Goldberg machine shown within gives quite  possibly the ultimate flavor in the smallest amount…Perfection! There may be a copyright, so if you slow the video and try to machine one of your own, there could be legal action.
The bewildered guy pictured, has found the way to the mysteries of life – through a highly caffeinated brew…But does he remember them afterward?   Two other aficionados enjoy a special grind, which is ground out at a local high school dance. You will be among the first to see it in production…And so much more!

When hipsters care, they care intimately, deeply and often in monotonous detail. The coffee shop is a place to show off one’s intellect, hipness (a given) individuality and love of the planet and other cultures.
Is it incongruous then that people with such high-minded obsessions, are equally enthralled with the misspelled names that harried baristas have written on cups?  A misspelled name is an immediate trigger to share the mistake with awaiting masses on Facebook and Instagram.  For instance, some names which have traveled widely are “Angry” for Ingrid and “Anus” Ann-Louise, the link features several other very popular examples.

See if you can catch some of the obnoxious multisyllabic names of various patron’s special brews…Something that’s all too real.  It’s no wonder baristas occasionally get a first name so incredibly wrong…Accidentally of course.
