Sharon Waxman editor-in-chief of TheWrap.com joins David Shuster in discussing AEG’s release of this rehearsal video made two days before Jackson’s death. AEG’s greed is becoming more apparent daily. What a shame that a man who was doing this because he was in debt, is now bringing in money from music, videos, and even
a possible movie planned by AEG!
In my opinion, the theory of those close to him that he may have wanted out of the contract, and chose a foolish way to do it holds more weight daily. Anorexic, at 5’11 and 112 lbs, he was pushing his strength to do the required 10 shows.
When promoter AEG saw the tickets sell out within two hours or less, they changed the contract to FIFTY shows. Jackson as is presented here, is the consumate performer, who could always pull it together on stage, even if he had to inhale oxygen between numbers…ten years ago. Now, in his debilitated
state, the idea of 50 shows, and ending up in Vegas must have seemed like climbing a looming mountain. Ironically, the name of the song being rehearsed is “They
Don’t Care About Us.”

I have to come to the defense of the nasty old dad… THE MEDIA is giving him HELL for plugging his record label after his son died. He did it for money. WTF do you think THE MEDIA is going with all this endless crap about this poor 50 year old kid.. SAME THING.
As horrible as the old man was to those kids, beating the hell out of them, rehearsing them mercilessly for a free concert at a hot dog stand opening, or a poor paying and thankless job at a strip club, I have to agree. The same Michael who was sorting out what he could auction
is now a major cash cow for that blood sucking promo company, ALL of the media, and anyone else who can pry a dime out of a public who is now suddenly willing to shell out some cash. I was a bit
shocked to see the evening devoted to him on MSNBC. I can only assume that others are doing the same.
