To be fair, with reference to the newer Politicfact chart below, politics being what it is, we should add “mostly true” to “true” in defining The Donald’s honesty and trustworthiness quotient and award him at a higher 15% true.
The second Politifact chart from July 2016 shows this from an “honesty index” rather than just plain lies. Hillary Clinton is THREE TIMES more honest and trustworthy than Donald Trump. That is a magnitude of 3. That dead fact may have been the actual cause of our election results as the majority of Americans labeled Hillary Clinton dishonest and untrustworthy.
Facts no longer matter, I think they died with the rise of social media. It is now all about gut feelings and who we want to have a beer with. The Donald does not drink beer or any adult beverage for that matter. What does The Donald Drink? Ha! GOLDWATER 64!
The second chart is what tells it all, the point I have been making here for twenty years, it is not Donald Trump or any individual it is the Republican Party. Notice that the top ten liars in American politics are all Republican, what news! After all, other than gerrymandering and suppressing the vote, lying is the only thing that keeps them in power.
The Donald came in third behind Michele Bachmann and Ben Carson. Adding Ted Cruz and Dan Patrick to the mix means that 40% of the top liars in American politics are LOUD Christian evangelical fundamentalists. Religion at odds with the truth? Religion at odds with the facts? Who would have thought?
Also take note that the most honest politicians are the most left leaning Democrats. But praise the Lord and pass the hush puppies, two Republicans made the honest list, Rob Portman and Nathan Deal. Everyday names…
