The top three Right-wing political cartoonists in America are Rameriz and the McCoy brothers. I picked this one from yesterday as typical. The main theme is a portrayal of President Obama as a crooked Nixonian Nazi while at the same time celebrating the liberty and freedom to be as bigoted, racist and callous as we wish. It’s what these cartoonists do. Much like Fox News and Talk Radio, there is a big market and big money in making a wholes feel good about themselves.
I have had a few depressing discussions about this REDSKINS thing with a few of my conservative friends. They all tell me the same thing. That THEY understand REDSKIN to be mean brave warriors! And what’s wrong with that?
This entire issue of political correctness is based upon this same view. That all that matters is how the conservative dealer of demeaning name or caricatures feel about it. Never about how the recipient and their families, and children feel about it. The pain and the hurt it causes and having to explain it to their kids is not in play. Only the fun I, ME, MY and MINE take in he liberty of freely hurting others, who most always are on on the bottom of the class or color structure.
And it is not only the joy they take in that liberty to hurt those already hurting most, it is always coupled with a boisterous demeaning laugh at those who do care about others feelings. It is genetic. It is the nature of the Beast.
