The first story from the religion’s of the Book tells of a snake who talks a bad woman into coercing a good man into defying God who as punishment takes immortality from mankind. It is assumed I hear that the apple represents clothless sex.
I am told that the most important story in the Book is that of Abraham, the founder of God Jehovah. God tells Abraham to take his most beloved son to a hilltop and slit his throat to prove his love and obedience to God. Abraham obeys but as he raises the knife God stops him at the last minute, for Abe has passed the kill your children for God test.
The third story great story is how Moses led his chosen people out of bondage in Egypt and into the promised land where God directs him to kill every living thing including plants, crops, pigs, asses, sheep, children, pregnant women, old women, married women, young men, old men but to keep the girl virgins alive for sex. God then goes on to specifically tell Moses to gather up the people and go stone to death an old man who has started a fire to cook a chicken which they gleefully do.
I suppose we can give a little slack to frightened people who don’t want to die into perhaps accepting one or even two of these most disgusting lessons every written (by God no less), but by the time one gets to number three it’s time to walk away from that silly crap.
