The NRA has been unusually quiet on this one. I had expected to hear headline sarcasm about banning steak knives, rocks and of course pencils from the gun enthusiasts, and some gun control words about how worse it could have been had the boy 2 guns rather than two knives.
Though I did gather some interesting information on this stabbing spre. Knives were likely used as weapons of opportunity. If the boy had easy access to guns he would have used them instead. Stabbing is up close, personal, physically intensive and bloody while using a gun is impersonal, cold, easy and cowardly.
