This sign language thing, along with the Obama shaking hands with Raul Castro and the Obama selfie picture have gotten more time on cable news than Nelson Mandela.
And you know, what better example of lessons learned from Nelson Mandela than for the President of the United States to shake hands with a Castro. It was the whole point of not only Mr Mandela but Jesus Christ as well. Be nice. Forgive.
The problem is not so much that cable news is totally dependent upon advertising revenues and share [pushing only what we want to see rather than what we should know] but that the rest of the media grabs hold of it and it becomes most of what we see. We know much more about Lindsay Lohan than we do Nelson Mandela.
It is the same problem with Talk Radio, it’s not so much the Right-wing slobs dispensing their swill or even their dittoheads gobbling it up to feel good about themselves, but that the rest of the media feels obligated to pass it on or lose share to Fox News.
