I have three complaints about this political cartoon.
First is the house with the bigot in it should be duplicated from horizon to horizon to give a better understanding of just how many of these KIND OF PEOPLE there are down here in Dumbutt.
Secondly, Ben Sargent somehow lost track of Southern reality by not adding a gun and a six-pack to each hand of each bigot.
And last but not least where is the stamp from Jesus putting beer, guns and bigotry on the high road to Heaven?
Texas which now has over a 2/3’s majority in both houses of the state legislature and a Right-wing looney governor can pass whatever nasty Republican swill it wishes. In this case it is about to pass an immigration bill that will really phis off the fastest growing segment of Texas voters, Hispanics. It is something Republicans cannot help no matter it’s long run adverse consequences to them, it is the nature of the Beast.
The humor in this bill concerns Republican hypocrisy. Draconian fines and jail time for hiring illegal immigrant EXCEPT if they are hired to work in mostly upper class Republican homes and yards.
For anyone who lives down here in dumbutt, Texas it becomes even sillier, for we all know if they actually did round up all the illegal immigrants we would have no roofs on our houses, no new homes would be built, garbage would be stacked up so high we couldn’t see the street, hotel rooms would never have their beds made, in restaurants we would be eating off of the same plates as those before us and our grass would be so long our yards would harbor families of wild boars.
