On a flight to a skiing vacation in Vail Colorado a few days before Christmas in 2005, the first class cabin erupted in a shove in! Mrs Victoria Osteen noticed some liquid on the arm rest of her seat and got up to make a big deal about it. Continental flight attendant Sharon Brown asked Victoria to sit down and that she would take care of it. Unbeknownest to African Americans like Ms Brown she was not aware that very white, very rich, very blond and very very Christian celebrities must have things made just right immediately.
In pursuing her single minded war of the armrest, Mrs Osteen pushed Ms Brown aside to try and force entry into the pilots cabin, where she intended to have the arm rest issue resolved. [or to slit the pilots throats with a box cutter.] Osteen’s lawyer accuses witness of playing ‘race card’
Joel Osteen and his wife are the biggest celebrities we have here in Houston. A few years back they bought the Summit which was our auditorium for the Houston Rockets. It sits 15,000 which Osteen fills twice each Sunday morning and is broadcast live on local television. Joel Osteen is the glass overflowing, slopping all over the floor getting your feet wet. His church is non denominational and unlike so many other Christian churches in Texas which dwell on intolerance and hate he sends a cheery and positive message. The most apolitical church in Texas, publicly.
Continental Airlines does not want its employees talking about customer confrontations, especially when the customers are so very very white, rich, Republican and the most beloved Christians in Dumbutt, Texas. Being caught between a rock and a hard witch, Ms Brown claims that not only did the shove in her chest cause her to lose her faith in God – seeing this Christian couple as the uppity a wholes they are – but the stress of being pushed gave her hemorrhoids. Really. She is suing for 10% of Victoria Osteen’s estate.
So how do you think this will turn out? An uppity Black working woman playing the race card or the blond white wife of Jesus?
Keep in mind this is Harris County where all the judges are Republicans who wear their Christianity on their sleeve, where all the prosecutors are Republicans who wear their Christianity on their sleeve, where grand juries are picked by Republicans to be Republicans, and they all have guns to make sure it stays that way.
