A reminder once again that three Republicans – Marco Rubio, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz – expected to be running for President in 2016 have already stood up loud and clear against this bill that puts a stop to the House extortion of shutting down the government for two years.
Mitch McConnell will also vote against it because he has the Tea Party coming after him in next years’ Republican primary.
This thing about being primaried by the Tea Party is a double edged sword. In redish and bluish states it of course helps Democrats in general elections while in fully red states it helps Right-wing lunatics take control of the GOP. Which in turn leads us ever faster into free market anarchy led by banker and NRA life member Jesus Christ.
