While the name of Ben & Jerry’s new ice cream may be off-putting to those with more refined sensibilities, many soon become converts after a taste, and can be seen proudly placing their Schweddy Balls on the supermarket conveyor belt for all to see. Ben & Jerry have not run out of names, or gone funny in the head. The unusual name has its origins in an SNL skit featuring the always delightful public radio ladies and Alec Baldwin.
This is the land of ultra-conservatives, and as you will see some feel that the harmless little tubs of ice cream have a far reaching influence on ‘the children,’ and expect nothing greater from a company which openly supports gay marriage. Honestly! Just for that, I believe I’ll buy some today.
