First, I would simply like to say that the statue of Lady Justice, is wearing a loose garment, but no bra. It wasn’t surprising when John Ashcroft shelled out ,000 in taxpayer money for a modesty curtain for the statue, before he could be photographed in front of it, in the same country where "Girls Gone Wild" is a late night advertising staple. We do expect more common sense from jail guards than from John Ashcroft.
Looking confident, and feeling well supported, an unnamed female attorney set out to share some support with her client earlier this month. The client was housed in the Miami Federal Detention Center. While you are assured an attorney under the Miranda Rights, even the best attorney isn’t expecting a catch-22 like this. Each time she passed through the metal detector the alarm buzzed. By process of elimination, it was determined that the woman couldn’t reach her client because of her under-wire bra.
There’s a simple solution you say? That is what the attorney thought as well. Reporting back to the guards without the offending bra, she was able to pass through without setting off the alarm, but was once again denied entrance to see her client. You see, they have a rule, women must be wearing bras.
I’m reminded of a recent report from Rackjite about guns appearing in all manner of public buildings including court
houses in Texas. I wonder if they too have a no under-wire bra, and no bra ban?
