The screaming bully of the conservative movement Ted Nugent, issued a now famous challenge. “My haters don’t dare debate me.” The challenge, made while safely in the womb of Glenn Beck’s umbrella is likely to go ignored. After all, Nugent has disappointed us before.
Nugent is a frequent guest on the aptly named white supremacist radio show Political Cesspool, which also regularly features David Duke. While spewing deranged hatred at President Obama Nugent pledged, “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year.” He’s neither dead nor is he in jail, and as you know it’s been well over a year.
Nugent’s challenger is John Henry, a soft spoken self described “tree-huggin’ hippie liberal type” from Kalamazoo. A year and a half previous to his video challenge this weekend, Henry made the video “Ted Nugent is a Coward” and has heard nothing from the Motor City Mental Case.
Henry, who doesn’t ‘hate’ anyone does loathe Nugent, calling him a “bad example of humanity, an embarrassment to hunting and an embarrassment to gun owners.”Furthermore, Henry adds in the recent video challenge, ” I think you’re an embarrassment to rock and roll I think you’re an embarrassment to this country.”
Will the GOP rabble rouser take Henry up on the challenge or resort to soiling himself once again? If you’d like to see John Henry take Nugent down, join others who are dropping the word on Nugent’s facebook page. Many already have. There is no way he can claim he wasn’t aware of the challenge.
