For just one moment, forget Apple’s claims. The iGiant claims that there is no worm in their cloud. Apple claims the fault lies in the passwords used by the hot stars, which were childishly easy to guess. A likely story hey? Perhaps you suspect an evil computer genius lurks behind this nefarious deed.There were false leads as to the hacker’s identity which remained unknown until Conan’s investigation. A CNN commentator hinted darkly that the perpetrator was named ‘4Chan” – a hint which surprisingly yielded no fruit. One would believe that a high level of geekdom and ingenuity would be needed to hack the accounts. That is exactly what Conan believed, and now we know what the master hacker looks like. We see what he does at home to relax, and what makes him different from us. Best of all, his own privacy is invaded and exposed!
I realize that security seems futile when such people exist, but perhaps you’ll want to take precautions such as changing your passwords. Someone just might guess easy clues such as your hometown, cat’s name or your birthday – but only if you’ve shared them on Facebook. Otherwise, you’re perfectly safe…Trust me.
