Producers of the HBO series Game of Thrones say their salute to Medieval violence used a mask of George W Bush because it was laying around and free. Whether true or not, George W was not a bad person or a nasty man, he was just a regular guy in over his head. He needs to be forgotten not beheaded.
Though I enjoy this kind of elaborate venue of the far flung imagined past, watching it week to week left me dazed and confused. So I waited until the entire series of both years were finished and up ON DEMAND to watch each year’s 10 episodes in a few days. Much better!
I think I can speak for everyone on two points:
1) How disappointing this year’s series ending without that horrible boy king’s – Joffrey shown in the video above – head on a pike we so wanted to see.
2) More of the Mother of Dragons story line! The hot blonde Khaleesi and her trio of computer generated baby dragons. Not only is the story unique, but the filming of that story line is in bright golden day lignt rather than drab grey darkness as is the rest of it.
