All states held by Republican governors that also have Republican control of both houses have, since Sandy Hook, passed legislation to give more guns to more people to carry in more places and to use less restrictively. It’s only logical.
What sets these recently passed NRA sponsored laws in Georgia apart from all the other laws recently passed in other states is that in Georgia one can now take guns inside AIRPORTS! Along with guns in bars, churches, schools, sporting events and gangsta rap concerts. I hope this law doesn’t include taking a gun to the high school rendition of the musical Oklahoma. For I recently had to suffer that and if I had a gun I would have shot myself.
Oh, and as serendipity would have it, these same Republican held states are also are the ones who have passed voter suppression laws directed at the poor and minorities. Who woulda guessed…
The law in Georgia is also unique in that it celebrates the right of FELONS to shoot to kill in Stand Your Ground instances. Not sure if that covers cops who may cause convicts to feel threatened. Probably not as it just applies to convicts shooting you if they feel threatened by your loud music or popcorn flinging. But wait a minute. What are felons doing with guns in the first place?
