So… Jason Jones is carrying a baby in his penis. Who is to say that belief is not a valid corporate religious belief? Certainly not the Supreme Court. And there is the nub of the matter.
It does not matter to the 5 male Catholics on the Supreme Court that Hobby Lobby rejects forms of contraception which they contend are abortion, when IN FACT they are not. That is science after all, and religion trumps science here and much of the rest of the uncivilized world even today.
Nor do the same 5 Catholic justices consider that the religious belief against birth control is the worst idea to ever come down the pike. After all, over population is the cause of Global Warming and the coming end times. Which for Republicans is either a lie or a good thing. It was not that long ago that Justice Scalia denied American Indians their religious use of peyote because it was a “bad idea,” not because it was a religious belief. Does the Hobby Lobby decision mean that Indian casinos which are corporations can dispense peyote from slot machines?
Religion is make believe, which helps many get through the dark, but it should not be codified into law in any manner every anywhere.
Michael’s is the competitor of Hobby Lobby.
