Working with 10s, we find that both Florida and Texas got about 10 times more money than Puerto Rico. We also learn why. Though American citizens, Puerto Rican’s have no representation in Washington and cannot vote in presidential elections. So they don’t matter.But as the mayor of San Juan explains, Donald Trump did help Puerto Ricans understand that they are an island, surrounded by water, ocean water!, and trucks can’t drive on water. Which is about all they can thank President Trump for.
Never giving this much thought, I conclude that Puerto Rico should either become a real state or a real independent nation.
