Key and Peele depict a meeting with a parole officer who uses an unconventional technique to connect to one the convicts under his charge. In his past experiences with junior offenders, the rather uptight parole officer found that his street smart puppet named Little Homie was a great way to relate to his youthful offenders. Partnerships die hard, and when the parole officer moved up the ladder to adult clients, he apparently saw no reason why tough talking Little Homie wouldn’t be just as effective with his adult offenders.
I might add that it is ‘said’ that while some parole officers genuinely wish to see their clients successfully leave the system, others will do anything in their power to keep them in the loop. Criminal ‘justice’ is a for-profit biz after all.
While our uptight P.O. seems to be the former type, things take an unexpected turn when ‘Little Homie’ becomes aggressive in his attempts to make this very earnest and determined client run afoul of his parole agreement. Does the relentless puppet have a mind of his own, or is he truly the parole officer’s destructive alter-ego? One thing is certain, if a client won’t yeild to temptation, Homie will use the client’s better angels against him – and, Homie will do whatever it takes.
Only one thing is certain. Whether guns are outlawed or not, dummies will always have guns.
