The colorful bird in drag is a business consultant who flies quite often, dressed much as he is in the video. The brightly plumaged frequent flier appears to be happy to pose for fellow passengers, wearing only women’s bikini panties, thigh high stockings, and towering high heels! He has every reason to smile, he has never been harassed by airline personnel.
I believe that it is his right to appear in drag – and more power to him, I loved "To Wong Foo" after all. However, the fact remains that when flying, he is wearing only underwear, and no woman could – or would board a plane in one of his/her outfits. I am certain that someone would throw a blanket over a woman and escort her to one of those small cubicles for intense questioning if she attempted to board a plane wearing nothing but Vickie’s Secret.
This brings us to the incident of the baggy pants. The culprit is the same airline, U.S. Airways. As you can plainly see, Fox ‘News’ got it all wrong – but that goes without saying. Football player Deshon Marman was seated and calm when he was approached about his sagging pants, which were ‘pajamas’ over boxer shorts. No skin was showing, yet he was removed from the plane and arrested.
Frankly, I’m at a loss. Since both Marman and our imaginary woman were arrested, what is up with U.S. Airways? Do they discriminate racially and by gender, or do they simply prefer the sight of hairy cleavage and a manly turn of ankle ?
