BSofA Comedy News examines the stupid War On Drugs, as a recovering Crystal Meth head hits the streets of New York to gather the varied opinions of passers-by.
The people questioned vary widely. One man who ‘never has, never will’ use drugs – admits openly to using alcohol. This begs the question, did alcohol cease to be a harmful ‘drug’ when it became legal, taxed and sold by the state? Would other substances which are now called ‘drugs’ become harmless as well, if they too bore the stamp of legality?
What would this country be like if we ceased to jail the citizenry for drug use? Could we find other ways to utilize the billions of dollars spent on the ‘War on Drugs?’ Is it even possible to stop the giant bureaucratic machine that is the War after decades of expensive failure? Does anyone know the time in Queensland? (Just to see if you’re still with me)
Still others openly admit to using pot, and when prompted, discuss other ‘natural’ ways to feel high – most of which seem to require a great deal of unhealthy exertion. Get a physical exam before embarking on a program of alternatives for drugs.
