Cute old couple watching Netflix can’t decide if there is really anything new about Netflix, after all, they been in sitting together in front of the TV cuddling and stuff since 1963. The four minute wait for “the stuff” is worth waiting for.
The gist of this is how we seldom see old people as the hunks, hotties and Hell raisers they might of once been.
Another thing we don’t give much thought to came up while I was listening to NPR yesterday.
A piece about a black health worker doing needle exchanges in what they call “The Block” in Baltimore. A street full of bright neon lights and strip joints in the heart of the city. One of the strippers is given a bag of condoms, the interviewer asks the health worker how many condoms he gives out on The Block each night.
“About 2000 or so.”
You know, something I just never thought about. And do I want to now?
“No.”
