Been there done that! Hey?
I think I was the only person who bought the boxed version of Windows Vista. Never has opening a container been a more horrific experience for mankind. First off clear plastic tape, with nothing to tell one it existed, was on three sides. To make matters much worse, and I mean much worse, the clear plastic box was hinged, with no way of knowing how exactly. After a few hours I found two invisible sections of tape. But still could not figure out where the hinge was as some corners were curved and some not. At that point I did go out to the garage and get the hammer. But now sure which side the DVD was on, I took one more hard look to find the third piece of invisible tape. Now at least it wiggled a bit. Home free I thought. But no, there was no way to grab the inner box to swing it out of the outer box. Not enough room to get a grip and it was in tight. So I did finally resort to the hammer.
I wanted to make a funny video of it just like this guy. But after a few days I realized it would not be funny because no one but me had bought the boxed version of Vista.
