“Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.” Paul of Tarsus
This is well worth the 4 minutes spent to watch. And it is important enough for that that guy behind it got a shave and a haircut to do it!
Paul of Tarsus was born about 5 years after the Crucifixion. He was a “devout” and “intensely religious” Jew who never married. And as an “exceedingly zealous” religious person he spent his adult life singularly [until he was about 35 or so] persecuting Christians both in word and deed. Then one day on the Road to Damascus Jesus appeared to Saul to ask “Why does thou persecute me?” Saul changed his name to Paul and so Christianity began in his hands. [BTW, Paul did not make this supernatural claim, it was Luke who said he heard that from someone]
Fourteen of the twenty-seven books in the New Testament, or more than 40%, are attributed to Paul of Tarsus. He seems to have been the Dr Laura Schlesinger of his day…
