If Warhol had done this sex doll installation in his garden, you bet it would be ART! The village of Sutton-on-the-Hill is in a maelstrom of controversy over the self-labeled "masterpiece" created by goalkeeper Stephen Bywater, whose work now graces our collection of strange and unusual art stories. The piece includes, but is not limited to – the blow-up sex doll, with additional rubber genitalia
attached, a shell from a port-a-potty decorated with graffiti, and of course, wind-chimes.
Like most things, the installation is a living, growing work in progress. A neighbor, whose home had been for sale before the art bug hit Bywater, and whose home value declines with each new addition said:"He adds to it all the time, painting extra bits and putting more things on. We are completely bewildered by his actions." Alas, most all of the truly great artists are misunderstood in their own time.
