On the back of last week’s news that Houston’s Republican and very
Christian District Attorney – also known as Mr. Execution (which seems
to be the only Christian part in all this) – about his love emails to his
secretary, came a whole new mess of nastyass email from
this nastyass creep. Here is the Kick! link to the love email story as it broke last week Houston DA Chuck Rosenthall Sex Email Scandal
The less fun issue here – which is what will ultimately bring Rosenthal down – are the many election campaigning emails sent from his office during working hours which is illegal. The Houston Chronicle article covers that well. More e-mails emerge in Harris County DA scandal.
The far more fun emails are the ones which show this Texas Republican for what Texas Republicans are. Keep in mind that these are not just received emails but also forwarded by Rosenthal. Let’s begin with the Bill Clinton joke.
President Bill Clinton is black! Clinton played the saxophone, smoked marijuana and gets a check from the government each month! This one has been paraphrased by the Houston Chronicle and local TV stations which makes me wonder if the word used was indeed "black".
Next comes this email attachment.
That is hilarious down here in Texas. Just goes to show you how right the media pundits are that Barack Obama has ended racism in America!
Now that we have covered the racist nature of the man who dispenses Houston’s justice, we cannot forget this forwarded video of what is called "Sharking".
Hilarious stuff for any Christian Republican from down here in Dumbutt. The woman you see in this video is Kelly Siegler, Rosenthal’s Republican heir apparent. It was her husband who sent Rosenthal the sharking video. Siegler is not much concerned with any of this other than it all just being poor judgment by men who cuss and people in the department playing on the computer when they should be working. When asked if Rosenthal should resign she only commented that "I would hope the voters are more concerned about qualifications of their DA than some inappropriate e-mails."
The big news today as of 8am January 10th is that after just about everyone from Houston to Austin has called for Rosenthal’s resignation, he has angrily replied with a loud NO!
One other note of interest. The reason Rosenthal’s emails were investigated was because of a false drug bust at the home of an Hispanic family. After it was proved to be an illegal search and a false arrest the family asked for an apology from Rosenthal who flat out refused. So they sued in state court. This is why Austin is now involved.
Here is a 10 minute local TV news story which covers all this:
