“Now Lyndon…” The potent words that Lady Bird Johnson used to reign in her husband when he went too far in any direction.
Sadly, the top search words in the world are quite often “Paris Hilton”. In seeing all the controversy, infatuation and angst concerning our American Princess, I thought who would be the contrary antithesis of Ms Hilton? After watching a PBS documentary played recently because of Mrs. Johnson’s death the answer became obvious.
Lady Bird
Claudia Alta Taylor was born with a golden spoon in her mouth. In high school she gained the nickname “Bird” which made fun of her unattractive beak. During the Depression she went to the University of Texas where she was one of the first women to gain two degrees; a Bachelor of Arts and a Journalism degree. She was a first rate First Lady who politicized that position and as a Deep South Belle pushed her husband into forcing the Civil Rights and Voting Rights bills though Congress. And of course taking it on the chin for making America prettier. Lady Bird was a very intelligent, kind, graceful, powerful and homely woman.
Jail Bird
Paris Hilton was born with a golden spoon in her mouth. She flunked out of high school but eventually purchased a GED. Ms. Hilton, made a celebrity name for herself with good looks and hiring the best public relations people in the industry. Though she has done many mediocre television shows, movies and music videos, it has been alcohol, recreational drugs, drunk driving and being a celebrity slut that are her only known talents.
In watching what I have been forced to watch regarding Paris as it passes through my television, I did a little personal research and found that men sure like Paris a lot more than women. I perused the issue on my recent travels UpNort. I asked all my male friends how they felt about Ms. Hilton. 100% of those without computers vehemently disliked her while 100% of those with computers either liked her or were indifferent. I then asked the men who had computers if they had ever seen the Paris BJ video. 100% of them said they had. As I am sure is true of every male with a computer. So there ya go…
