Yesterday we looked at a’ Sad Dog Diary.’ Naturally today we give equal time to his counterpart in the world of domestic pets, the cat. One of the first things you’ll note is that our canine pal referred to his person as ‘Dearest Human.’ The feline alludes to those who cater to his whims as ‘The Authority.’ Here is a brief example:
“Dear Diary, yesterday I put in a simple request in regards to the door to the garden, but seemingly out of sheer spite the authorities refused to hold the door open long enough for me to decide whether to go outside or inside. Or outside or inside.” And I think most of you know this is the short version.
