Republican psychologists James Mitchell and Bruce Jessen were paid $80 million dollars to help the Bush Administration give the big OKAY to Republican torture techniques. Seems a fair price to pay to have your name go down in history along with Torquemada, Vlad the Impaler, Jack the Ripper and of course fellow doctor Dr Joesf Mengele.
What would you do for $80 million dollars? Oops. What wouldn’t you do for $80 million dollars. Two other names that need to be remembered as Republican advocates of torture are Republican Dick Cheney who still won’t shut up about how great it is, and John Yoo, the Republican lawyer who drew up the legality of it all.
Let’s go over those names again. Republicans who advocate torture:
Richard Bruce Cheney
John Choon Yoo
James Elmer Mitchell
John Bruce Jessen
As is the case with serial killers and those we execute so there is no confusion, best to also use middle names when it comes to those Republicans who advocate torture. Sure there are millions more on the torture band wagon, but none so center stage and so proudly vocal. Well other than the endless stream of Republicans in the Letters to the Editor of the Houston Chronicle. So ROBUST about torture.
Other than being a Republican, are there any other “types” we can assign to those who advocate torture? Like NRA members, those with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Capital L Libertarians. The Tea Party. Muslims. Terrorists. Wait a minute now, I can’t recall Muslims or terrorists advocating torture. Nor have I heard of any Europeans, or Africans, or African Americans, or Asians, or South Americans, or Russians, or Mexicans, or Democrats, or liberals, or Canadians, or Australians. Hmmm… Seems to be just one group. American White Republicans. Which I am sure a Dairy Queen exclusive poll will verify.
