48 year ole Leslie Jones who got her SNL break just a few years ago tells us you are never too old to do whatever it is you want, well other than some physical limitations. There is a trending video about this I am told that millions are watching.
You know the trouble a black kid who does well in school gets into with his peers? I suffer the same when it comes to, OH NO, book reading and am always hesitant in talking about it, but this one jumped me from behind.
I must have been about 19 when I read Henderson the Rain King by Saul Bellow. A fun jaunt of a middle aged American to darkest Africa saving a tribe from raining frogs. One of the many books that has stuck with me, a lesson that you are never too old as it closes with Henderson in his late 60’s returning home to begin med school. So instead of memes and trends and youtube videos why not just everyone read a great classic book instead? I know why. Reading is time consuming, elitist and hard.
Oh and not to forget Bathroom Bill!
The real Bathroom Bill was thrown in jail just the other day in Chicago. The burly man dressed as a burly man followed a 9 year old girl into the DAMAS of a local Mexican restaurant, there he choked her unconscious and dragged her into a stall before her mother and others came to her rescue. Reese Hartstirn dressed as a burly man was charged with a felony count of aggravated kidnapping and a felony count of aggravated battery to a child under 13.
So far the Washington Times was the first of many to come out equating this to the transgender bathroom issue though it has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the transgender issue. Which should remind us all once again the intellectual limits involved in evangelical Christianity. Or dare I say religion?
