As you can see by the video above, Tina Fey’s impressions of Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live are the stuff of comedy legend. Not only were her lines side splitting, but she slipped into Palin’s persona so well that FOX News once ran a photo of Fey, believing it to actually be Sarah Palin.
Here is where it gets very strange. In the episode above, televised years ago, Tina Fey appears to have predicted Palin’s future. At the time this video aired, Sarah Palin was a Fox contributor and starred in TLC’s ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska.’ In character as Sarah Palin, Tina Fey remarks that (besides a run for President in 2012) the next logical step is her own television network. Who would have guessed it would come true?!
Sister Sarah would do well to consult with Tina Fey about programming line-up. Fey outlines some appropriate shows, which might actually be entertaining, but I will only disclose a few.
Admit it, we expect to see this one: “Hey Journalist I Gotcha!” Sarah edits her old interviews, to make those who interviewed her like they were the ones that were woefully unprepared.
Of course, there will be more of the great outdoors: “Man in a Helicopter With a Sniper Rifle vs Wild”
For evening entertainment: “Tonight Show With Jay Leno” (ouch! Tina may have been psychic with this one too).
Finally, game shows are always popular, and this one is sure to be a hit: “Are You Smarter Than A Half-Term Governor?”
It all sounds so much nicer when Tina says it.
