Stephen Colbert is “gettin’ down, lookin’ forward to the weekend with my friends. ” Stephen was performing Rebecca Black’s hit song “Friday.” Soon friends Jimmy Fallon and The Roots join him, and Taylor Hicks makes a surprise entrance. The song becomes a true party anthem with the addition of pyrotechnics and a bevy of dancing girls, confetti and general mayhem.
Some people have expressed surprise that Theater Arts major Stephen Colbert can sing. This is no surprise to regular viewers of Colbert’s show. The man is a multiple-threat, only last week demonstrating his mad skills on the football field.
What I find most astonishing is that someone managed to rhyme the words “bowl” and “Cereal” in this song, by pronouncing the latter (roughly) ‘cereole.’ It’s time for someone to turn in their artistic license. You know who you are, don’t make me look you up!
