Reminds me of some time ago here in Dumbutt we had the Klan out in force over Vietnamese shrimpers. I remember sitting in a bar overlooking the narrow Kemah channel seeing them in a small boat parade with hoods and assault rifles.
The funky bar was an old trailer with chickens and eggs here and there. To my horror, I watched them dock up, remove their hoods and come in for a beer.
Being unarmed I was on my best behavior and got to talking to a few of them. I found them to be more human than I expected, some of them did the mechanic work on the Vietnamese boats during the day while they burned them do the waterline by night. It was mostly about these specific men losing their jobs to foreigners who worked harder for less.
