This is an amazing story. The winner of Intel’s Science Fair, young Jack Anaka is bringing inaccurate, expensive cancer detection into the 21st Century! A mere drop of blood and a three cent test strip can tell you precisely whether you have pancreatic cancer or not. When you watch the video you will be astounded at the expensive and highly inaccurate process that is in use now. Given the proper facilities, Anaka will very soon enable physicians to diagnose all diseases in the same manner.
Congrats as well to the scientist at Johns Hopkins who gave Anaka a chance to perfect his method, and shame on the other 199 who turned him down. We’re on the verge of lifesaving technology which is affordable for everyone. Will an expensive (read profitable despite results) ‘health system’ which has not improved in sixty years welcome and encourage inexpensive, life saving alternatives?
