One probably has to have seen the movie to find this as funny as it is. Add to the problem of too many dwarfs is that they used normal size actors and camera distance to generate the effect, which often made it seem as if they were using normal size actors and camera distance to generate the effect.
Which brings us to a TRUE STORY. I recently went to see the movie in 3D at it’s first showing of the day, 11:15am. There are usually about a dozen people at that time of day, and they all sit near the center of the theater with a 5 or 6 sit seat buffer zone between them. About halfway through the 3 hour movie trying to keep my dwarfs straight, suddenly there was a black man about a foot from my face yelling at me, SIR! SIR! It seems I had fallen asleep and was snoring like a cave troll…
The lesson here is don’t go to movies alone. Or sit next a stranger who can reach you with a shake. Or as my wife has found works well, pinch the nose until they begin to suffocate.
