According to Toure’s rant, the world will be a much better place when men feel free to express their feelings, shed a few tears and pamper themselves a bit. As Toure can testify, "A pedicure feels really nice." It does! Why should taking care of oneself and a bit of pampering be the province of women only?

Speaking of pedicures, no one says you have to paint your toenails pink if it doesn’t move you. The ad from J Crew picturing the 5-yr-old son of Jenna Lyons, president and creative director of the company, has ignited a fire storm within conservative ranks. What many from the right-wing camp see as a sign of gender confusion to come later in life,is commonplace for kiddies whose mommies, like Lyons see it simply as color or paint. It’s no biggie with the new generation. A stern manly shaming along the lines of ‘No, it’s for girls’ might well cause a great deal more than gender problems down the road.

Jon Stewart’s commentary sets the scene in proper perspective. Anyone who doesn’t relate, hasn’t spent a weekend with rambunctious children recently!
