In this installment of ‘Zimmerman Verdict’ the oft-heard justification for clearing George Zimmerman of any wrongdoing, “It’s not about race” is examined and ‘shot down,’ with logic and common sense.
It’s very easy to forget just who was on trial…The frightened pudgy man with the gun, or the teenager who wasn’t there to speak for himself. By the time prosecution finished, Trayvon was wearing gang-style clothing, in other words: a hoodie, had marijuana in his system (gasp!) and had posed in Facebook – clowning like many other kids do.
If Trayvon looked like a potential threat in those few photos, then ‘ Miley Cyrus, The Beib and a lot of suburban wanna-be kids are in danger of being feared, followed and shot.
It hasn’t happened to them yet, which leads me to believe that Trayvon’s shooting just might have been – about race. Okay, it’s about race and a fear that guns might be somehow viewed in a bad light….And perhaps regulated. Anything but that!
