In a little dig to Romney David Axelrod tweeted "How loving owners transport their dogs." Axelrod included the photo of the Dog Lover in Chief and his buddy Bo riding in companionable style.
Romney’s version of the – by now infamous hell trip has changed rapidly and conveniently, much like his political views through the years. Most recently Romney tried to squelch ‘ridiculous’ objections by saying that the dog rode in an "airtight" container strapped atop the family wagon. Is ‘airtight’ a good thing? If so, how did the projectile doggy poop obscure daddy Mitt’s rear window? This is the logic we need in the White House.
Of course a cold hose fixed both dog and window and the poor sick pooch was left to shiver for a few hundred more miles atop the Romney fun wagon. This issue really gets pet lovers where we live. We look at him and see a man who is capable of any low-down, dirty heartless act of inhumanity. You can tell a lot by the way a man treats his dog mister! Even Dubya treated Barney well, so where does that leave Mitt Romney? He’s in the dog house with animal lovers and there are a lot of us scratching and howling out here!
