Conan O’brien’s popular guest, physicist and professor Brian Cox is the target of Deepak Chopra’s New Age rage, and it’s not pretty. The professor isn’t a threatening or aggressive individual, but he has certainly pushed “The Diamond Encrusted Guru’s” buttons. Cox explains the ‘diamond encrusted’ dig refers to Chopra’s eye-catching choice of glasses which he defends as ‘only rhinestones.’ The Twitter feud between the two has escalated to the point where Chopra recently made an offer to to Cox: “I’m going to shove my cosmic consciousness up your ass.” Such language for the New Age proponent of materializing your dreams through your thoughts and words! Chopra rakes in millions each year while speaking about transcending materialism.
The irony is strong with this one.Brian Cox isn’t concerned about Deepak Chopra so much as he is about stupidity, which he feels is the greatest danger facing mankind. Understandably, we have a vast amount of knowledge which we should be using for the good of mankind. He cites the threat of an asteroid strike as one example of a very real danger we should work to avert.
It seems to visibly pain Cox to speak of homeopathy and astrology, and Chopra’s word salad sends the man of science straight up the wall. It is worth searching google for the Twitter feud to glean some insight on Chopra’s war on science.
