Perhaps the 10% discrepancy from the crazy norm is because of God who made the American farmer. In fact I noticed the other day that everyone I saw on cable TV who was for MORE AR15s with 100 round clips and those who want to put more guns in schools into the hands of yahoos were all loud and proud followers of Jesus Christ. That should tell us all something about American Christianity. “Bring unto me the little children so I can mow them down more effectively.”
I have also noticed that the polls for bans on assault rifles and magazine size lost almost 10 points since December. Out of sight out of mind. Well maybe next time…
Are 40% of us really as paranoid, crazy, violent and stupid as polls show? I wonder if it may be more about the growing American morality of I WANT IT ALL AND I WANT IT NOW. In this case, going out into the woods with a bottle of Beam and a case of Bud to play weekend shoot the crap out of stuff being far more important to American Christians than the next 20 dead six year olds, the next 16 dead high schools students, the next 30 dead college kids or the next 21 movie goers. Just a matter of FUN FOR ME.
