GOP Party of No Obama, Plante Cartoon

GOP Party of No Obama

GOP Party of No Obama

No matter what the issue, it’s the same story.  Do not allow history to see a Black President as successful. No matter what. Health care, sarin gas, climate change… Apocalypse is a better end game for them.

I have noticed that down here in Texas that the worst thing a white male can suffer is a black man or women telling them what to do.  Whether its’ Officer Jerome, Jasmine behind the DPS window or the President of the United States, it’s the major cause of the rise in Prosac sales in the old Confederacy.

We can argue about how much racism is a factor in Republican ideology, but if you live where I live it’s not much of an argument. So many outside The South do not understand the pride so many take her their public bigotry and private racism. It’s who they are.

How about this argument?

The Republican ideology is more than anything else, about SMALL government. What does that mean?  You think the adjectives matter to them? Hell, most of them don’t know what an adjective is. No, what they mean is they want SMALL tax bills – even though they already pay less than anywhere else in the civilized world. Are you with me so far?

So what is it they most don’t like paying their hard earned money for?  Ask them and you will hear the same answer across the Republican board.

I don’t want my tax money going to support lazy bums on the dole.

Still with me?  Okay.  Now who do you think the lazy bums on the dole are in their minds eye?
I KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT. I am from here. [Which reminds me, when I call someone on their cell phone and I get a message “I am not here right now” where the Hell are they?]

Now add the visceral hate of the federal government into that same GOP vat of snot. Does “states rights today, states rights tomorrow, states rights forever” ring a bell? What is the GOPs primary push these days in the states they control? Suppressing minority voting. Loudly and proudly. I wonder what George Washington would say about needing a picture ID to vote?  Or Robert E. Lee.  Or Jefferson Davis?
