There you have the embodiment of EVIL to not only Rush Limbaugh, Rick Santorum, Bill O’Reilly, Fox News and the Republican Base (Evangelical Christians), but now the entire GOP including Mitt Romney since the Tea Party has taken control of it.
This issue has been put on the front page by Rush Limbaugh and his week long series of non apologies for calling private citizen Sandra Fluke a slut and and a prostitute (which is slander as she is neither). It is now in Right-wing backlash mode, or so they hope.
Fox News leads the herd. First off is the horror of Bill Maher a few years back calling Sarah Palin a "dumb twat." Keep in mind that Maher is single and has sex with assorted single women making him a misogynist, or more to the point, a slut AND he is the most well known atheist in America.
So I looked "twat" up and found this in the Urban Dictionary
1) Slang term for the female vagina.
2) An inept person.
British as in "Tony Blair is such a twat."
Sarah Palin has a vagina and is dumb, so we must at least give Bill Maher only stating the truth. AND… There is no defining all women or group of women as such.
Secondly they turn to a May 24, 2011 incident where Ed Schultz called Fox News Laura Ingraham a "right-wing slut" on his radio show. There was as much hullabaloo at that time it too was on the front page. But it dissipated quickly because Schultz gave a real apology the next day. He was suspended from MSNBC for a week and right-wing twat Laura Ingraham accepted his apology. The cycle lasted only two days because Ed Schultz DID THE RIGHT THING.
