Jon Stewart: Republican Voter Suppression laws in Pennsylvania

The problem with all this is that these are Northern states such as Ohio and Pennsylvania which do not fall under the requirements of the Voting Rights Act that so many Southern States must suffer. This is what the Republican Supreme Court is going to use to allow Ohio and Pennsylvania to make black people jump through rings to vote. Florida and the rest of the old confederacy will not have such an easy ride. But the present Supreme Court could very well use the case to overturn these requirement from the Voting Rights Act to deny racism still exists in the South.

I have had some like minded friends and acquaintances tell me that Obama no linger deserves their vote this time round.

I have one thing to say to that crap!

Justice Stephen Breyer is 74, Ruth Ginsberg is 79 and in poor health and Anthony Kennedy (the swing vote) is 78. Chances are at least one of them, and more than likely two of them, and possibly three of them will retire in the next 4 to 8 years. If Romney were to win this election we will appoint as many as three new Antonin Scalias’. The horror of which will last generations. Serious fodder for mass emigrations or uprisings in the streets.
