So the survey was not as bad as I expected with 47% for execution and 42% for life in prison. This reduction in wanting big government executions like the Muslim world, means that there is indeed a movement away from Evangelical Christianity here in America.
For the loudest states celebrating executions are in the South where Christians know only too well that dragging some soul down a hall, corridor or street to be strapped, tied or nailed to a table, chair or tree is what Jesus would want us to do. After all, the most famous words Jesus Christ ever uttered were while being executed, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.”
Keeping that in mind, along with Jesus now a life member in the NRA, who likes to give the poor a kick in the pants, the wealthy ever more tax breaks and children a good beating, we cannot help but conclude all this Jesus crap is just that and only a cover for a wholes to advance their right-wing politics.
