Here is an opportunity to talk about duck hunting!  I have been an avid duck hunter since I was 10 years old. My weapon of choice has been a double barrel 12 gauge shotgun through the decades. Here are some facts about duck hunting.

Hunting over water requires NO LEAD SHOT. It must be steel or lead covered in copper.
Shotguns for bird hunting are only effective to about 60 yards.
Shotguns do have shells with buckshot and slugs which extend the range and damage appreciably but with very poor accuracy.
Duck hunting is only good from the half hour before dawn to mid morning.
Duck hunting requires decoys, blinds, camouflage and attention to wind direction.
Rough weather is the best for duck hunting, especially snow and wind.
All bird hunting is limited to the shotgun holding only three shells. Pumps and Semi-automatics require PLUGS which take up the space of two shells.
There are a lot less ducks than there used to be. More because of filling wetlands than hunting.
Ducks are rather small and can fly up to 90 miles an hour, leading and quick response make it a sport with some talent required.
Geese are lumbering giants that fly at about 30mph, it’s like shooting blimps, very little sport.
Duck hunting and in fact most all hunting supports conservation.
Hunters of all kinds know far more about nature and the outdoors than the rest of humanity.
Hunting of all kinds entails the mix of guns and drinking.
