Angry Pima Country residents have organized with the goal of seceding from Arizona. I must say that in their boots, I too would give the movement "Start Our State" my all. The group seeks to separate themselves from the Jan Brewer/ Teabagger wing-nuts, not the entire United States, the preferred method of Texas wingnut, Gov. Rick Perry who takes that radical idea for a spin on occasion.
If successful, they will be known as Baja, Arizona – our 51st state, unless you count Gov Perry’s recent ‘addition’ of Juarez to the United States, in which case Baja, AZ would be number 52.
So, what’s not to love about Arizona, other than the fore-mentioned Governor? Because of extremists, funding for schools is at the bottom of the list, as is funding for Medicaid – which is obviously a useless frill.
The goals of ‘Start Our State’ include moving for a referendum to be let go from their unholy yoke to Arizona. It isn’t a first, as we learn from Chris Matthews. Most of all, these people who make up the secession movement want us to know know that they are the ‘other’ Arizona, so "please don’t boycott us, we’re rational people!"
