No speech writer was necessary for Donald Trump’s big party the Republican Convention, because whether the topic was economics or mink-farming the words used most often were Hillary, Clinton, and America. This entire convention has been a show to sow fear and show people that they’re living in a dystopian nightmare, although illegal immigration continues to decline, and violent crime is the lowest it’s been in decades.
Seth Meyers wonders if it’s possible that this fear mongering is intended to distract from the fact that they’ve nominated a reckless buffoon with zero experience and an incoherent agenda? I think Seth may be onto something.
