Sarah Palin Throws Chris Christie Under the BridgeGate Bus!

Inside Edition visited with Sarah Palin ‘At Home’ in Alaska. While they didn’t get a recipe for tasty down home Moose fritters, they did get the lowdown on Governor Chris Christie’s Bridgegate fiasco, which Palin rates second only to Obama’s…Insert Benghazi or Gitmo here.

Said Palin:
“It’s hard to be the CEO of an organization and not know what the closest people to you are up to. It’s tough not to know. I know when I was mayor and manager of this city and then governor of the state, certainly you know what your top aides are up to.”
Palin continued to scold Christie.
“Even if Chris Christie were a Democrat, people would still be very, very outraged to find out that bureaucrats were involved in messing up people’s schedules and lives via power plays.”

“Even if Christie were a Democrat?” It’s good to see that Palin logic is still in working order. Democrats do get away with so very much with nary a comment from either party.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Palin’s own “Troopergate” of 2008. Oddly, Palin can’t seem to relate to Gov. Christie’s  use his office for personal retaliation. To refresh our collective memories, Governor Palin attempted to get state trooper Mike Wooten fired. Officer Wooten’s professional offense? Wooten who was Palin’s ex-brother-in-law, was embroiled in a custody battle with Palin’s sister.

It’s clear that Sarah Palin finds the vindictive abuse of power for personal retaliation to be abhorrent.

But – don’t Republicans stick together? Although Palin and Christie have never been bosom pals, they do belong to the same club. Wouldn’t Christie have a chance for the Republican nomination if enough influential members of his party rallied ’round? He might, but expect more volleys of nastiness from the Tea Party types. The hearts of Palin and the Tea Party are with their Atlas Shrugging hero, Rand Paul. Knocking Christie out of the running is a guarantee that Paul the Younger will be on the Republican ticket in 2016. That’s reason for celebration – such as it is,  for this crowd.
